FRAGRANCE LINE

For the Rimowa Fragrance Line project, I collaborated with the fragrance team as my clients, who had already developed the signature scents. My task was to craft an identity and brand narrative for the fragrance line, seamlessly aligning it with Rimowa's esteemed reputation in the suitcase industry. To complement the captivating fragrances, I conceptualized a bottle design that mirrored Rimowa's distinct aesthetic.

I propose a unique fragrance line that complements their luggage. Imagine capturing the essence of your favorite destinations in a bottle - a Parisian cafe aroma or a Tokyo cherry blossom scent - to extend the travel experience long after you return home.

THE IDEA

Leverage Rimowa's existing customer base - travelers who trust the brand for quality and creating memories for their journey.

The bottle should be Luxurious, non shatterable, travel friendly, collectible and modern. For the tester the shape should be such that the bottle can’t stand on it’s own. It should also have an easy refil system.

The grooves of Rimowa have been the key element in the design process as it is what makes Rimowa unique. To give the brand an overall luxury theme I have used black and Silver color which are also the main colors of Rimowa Products and Website. The rounded rectangular shape has been used in some of the elements which was present in the earlier logo.

ALUMINUM

The materials are choosen so that their remains a consistency within the brand and also using the materials from factory scraps can lessen the cost of making the fragnance bottle.

MATERIALS

The Materials used in the making of the Fragnance bottle are: Aluminium and Polycarbonate. These are also the main elements Rimowa uses for it’s suitcase.

POLYCARBONATE

Polycarbonate has been used to make it’s cap to maintain transparency. The rest of the packaging is of cardboard

THE MECHANISM

The Rimowa perfume bottle features a pump system with two smaller nozzles for precise dispensing and a magnetic cap lock to prevent spills. Its aluminum casing protects a glass bottle inside, preventing corrosion. Glass is chosen for its inert nature, preserving the fragrance. The bottle is designed in Blender for precision and customization.

City Map Integration: Secondary packaging features city maps corresponding to the perfume's origin, adding a personalized touch.

Portability: Designed for easy carrying in handbags, ensuring fragrance on-the-go convenience.

Collection Offerings: The collection includes Perfume, Refil, merchandise, and postcards, catering to diverse preferences.

SUSTAINABILITY

Refillable Bottles: Reduce waste by offering refill options, promoting reuse of the same bottle. Cardboard Packaging: Utilize recyclable cardboard for packaging, minimizing environmental impact. Upcycled Materials: Repurpose factory scraps from Rimowa suitcase production for bottle construction, promoting resource efficiency.
