AWARENESS THROUGH DATAVIZ

The goal of this project is to encourage cat adoption from our cat cafe. With aim to highlight the many benefits of having a feline companion and demonstrate how easy it is to adopt and care for these amazing animals. This project will focus on both the emotional and practical advantages of cat ownership, providing a complete guide to the adoption process and cat care routines. I used data visualization techniques to present important information about feeding, grooming, daily routines, and details about the various cat breeds available at our cafe.

THE CHALLENGE

Cat cafes typically generate revenue through entry fees, food and beverage sales, and merchandise like cat-themed items. Despite their positive impact, cat cafes often face adoption rates that, while significant, may not always reach the upper limits. Typically, these cafes report adoption rates ranging from 10% to 30%.

REASON?

Although people like the cats they are skeptical about being able to afford the cats and not having enough time on their hands to take proper care of them. They would rather go to a cafe and enjoy being with them.

THE SOLUTION

Data visualization can connect to human beings on an emotional level and be unbiased at the same time. Human beings are inundated with an abundance of data our everyday lives. I aim to inspire cat adoption within the charming ambiance of cat cafes. My perspective centers on highlighting key attributes that make cats outstanding lifelong companions, such as their affordability, self-grooming habits, innate friendliness toward hu mans, and low-maintenance nature. Cat cafes play a pivotal role as they provide a unique opportunity to connect potential adopters with cats eagerly seeking loving homes.

Extensive scientific research on dogs has resulted in a wealth of knowledge about their specific needs and behaviors, contributing to well-informed care practices.

In contrast, cats are often perceived as more independent, leading to assumptions that they require less attention and detailed care information, potentially resulting in overlooked care needs.

THE IDEA

Inspired by ancient Egypt, where cats were worshipped as gods, we believe these furry friends deserve the royal treatment. Enjoy delicious treats and drinks surrounded by playful kitties, and rediscover the importance of caring for these majestic creatures.

I designed pyramid-shaped brochures for each breed available at adoption centers, containing essential data on breed characteristics, diet, and maintenance costs. This creative approach simplifies decision-making for potential adopters, ensuring they have all the information needed to choose the right feline companion.

BRAND GUIDELINE

"I've chosen colors like blue, red, and gold to capture the essence of ancient Egypt and its regal history. This palette aims to make users feel like royalty, immersing them in a rich cultural experience."
